HACCP Coordinator

Department: Manufacturing

Summary: 

To support the Director of Quality Assurance by helping deliver quality improvements, cost reductions, regulatory compliance, technical strategy, and customer service. Also to support the Director in the maintenance of the HACCP Program and quality standards and procedures for the purpose of generating and maintaining the safest, highest quality, lowest cost products for our customers. The position will be guided by the principles of: Trust, Teamwork, Responsibility, Communication and Mutual Respect.

 

 Specific Accountabilities:

a.     Promotes our “Work Safe” Culture:

  • Lead by example promoting a “Work Safe” environment
  • Pursues safer means to perform tasks and leads safe workplace initiatives
  • Understands and adheres to OSHA regulation compliance

b.     Food Safety/Quality Focus:

 Understands and follows all general Food Safety Responsibilities as outlined in Daily Compliance Program (P & P ?????). This includes prevention of cross contamination, product adulteration, and unsanitary conditions through continuous inspection of products and product contact surfaces in assigned area.  In addition, this position has the following additional responsibilities:

1.     All sections of the Operations Manual

2.     Food Defense Program

3.     Crisis Management

4.     HACCP Program

5.     Product Recall Program

6.     Product Recall Test program

 Qualifications:

BS or BA Degree or related field preferred

Strong communication skills and written communication skills

Advanced computer skills preferred (Excel, Word)

Hands on, assertive leader comfortable to introduce change

Proficient in process control, cost management strategies

Self-starter.  Ability to work with limited guidance

Ability to analyze data and achieve result oriented performance
